Recommend PSU

Could anyone recommend a decent power supply for my set-up?

Athlon XP 2600+
2 HDDs
DVD-ROM
CD-RW
dual cold cathodes
4 fans

I'm trying to find a PSU in the $20-$40 range. So, if anyone has had a good experience with a PSU, please let me know. Thanks, guys.

Of all things in a computer, there are 2 things not to cheap out, and they are the most crucial - Motherboard(s) and powersupplies. I'd recommend - Antec, Enermax, Vantec, ThermalTake (I heard these are rebadged Antecs), and basically any name brand units that cost ~50 for a 350 watt unit.

what poopeyhead says is true to a point . because something doesn't cost alot doesn't mean it isn't good . remember this is what they said about toyota and honda .

Thanks for the input, guys.

This ThermalTake seems pretty decent. What do you guys think?

I can vouch for Omardeth. That Achieve power supply is very good. JPMiller recommended it to me in this post:

http://www.techimo.com/forum/showthr...threadid=75400

I have had the PSU on my system for a while and I have had no problems with it. On top of that, the dual fans dropped my system temperature by 3 degrees and my CPU temperature by 2 degrees!

That Achieve PSU is enticing. I think I'm gonna have to go with that. "The Mod Fathers" gave it a 'silver award,' and that's when they paid $70 for it!! Achieve Review

Thanks for the help guys, and it looks like I'll be going with the Achieve.
