Local / Network Security Policies ?

Is there a way to keep a user from access their CD-ROM and floppy drive?

I thought there was a way of doing that throught the use of policies. I can't seem to find it anywhere though. I want to be able to do this from the server and not have to go to every machine and set up a "local security policy". Is there some sort of network sercurity policy?

Please help.

Put some duct tape over the openings. Couldn't help myself.
You could disable them in the bios, I suppose and then reable them when you needed them. Or just open the PC and unplug them. Depends how bad they're needed.

I don't think there is any way policy-wise to block local access to a floppy/CDROM drive. Over a network you can on W2K and XP.

The best way is either disabling them in the BIOS or opening the case and unplugging them.
