Bill in SD, CA is on a distinguished road

How does one know if one has a 32 or 64 bit data bus?

Internal or external?
Your processor would determine the internal and I suppose the external as well.

Most everything is 32 bit at the moment. Soon to change.

386 upwards are 32bit. The address bus is 32bit as well I think as 2^32 bytes is 4gb and that's the upper limit on PC ram. I could be wrong though, it might be paged like Expanded memory, but I don't think so.
Itanium/Opteron/some SGI/SPARC chips/IBM power 4 upwards are 64 bit though.
