!!!Help, Video Problem!!!

Hi,

I have a Gainward Geforce 3 Ti200 video card and i think it is broken. What i did today was open up the case, and then, when i put it back on and started up the computer, my monitor said there was no signal coming from the computer. My monitor isn't bad because it works with my parents laptop. So, I'm thinking that my card may be broken or something. Is there anyway to test if it is? I don't have an old card to swap in too. Help...?!

Thanks

Was it not working when you opened the case?

Did you accidentally unplug the monitor from the card?

Is the fan spinning on the card?

I had just played quake when i heard a wierd noise. Some wire was touching a case fan. So i opened up the case. Then when i tried to reboot, i lost the signal. The fan is still moving when i turn on the comp, but i don't get any signal from the computer.

I had something similar happen to me this week. I opened the case to put in a network card and when I booted, there was no display. The problem was solved by removing the video card and plugging it back in. I thinking that the video card connection must have gotten loose or something.

Are you sure the system itself is posting? Do you get a beep indicating a successful POST?

I get a beep at the beginning, but I don't know if it is for a successful post. I can also hear my drives warming up. Also my optical mouse lights up along with my keyboard num lock, so I beleive that it boots up.
