Raid 0+1 question

I have four WD 7200 8MB 120 gb drives. Two IDE and two SATA. My question is can I set them up in a 0+1 setup.

If so what would be the optimum setup.

Setup is:

2.53 P4
Asus P4P800 Deluxe MB
WinXp

I think you would need to have them all eather be serial ata or IDE. With that motherboard I dont think you could.

Welcome to TechIMO

Apparently, it "can" be done "IF" your controller can handle it:

"The FastTrak S150 TX2plus provides a hybrid solution that combines two independent SATA RAID ports for two SATA drives and one Ultra/133 ATA RAID port for support of up to two Ultra/133 ATA drives (master-slave combination). This unique solution provides a SATA RAID upgrade path for current ATA/133 and ATA/100 storage users, extending their investment in ATA/133 and ATA/100 hard drive."

Serial / ATA RAID Cards

"As the leader in Serial / ATA RAID technology, Promise Technology offers the most controller choices for increased performance, fault tolerance, storage capacity, and reliability. With Promise, you have the freedom to choose just the right Serial / ATA RAID card with just what you need for servers large and small, or professional workstations in the office or home."
