I just got an Audigy 2 PLatinum for 129 at Best Buy for my birthday. My Dad won't let me install it yet because I need to focus on school so, I gave to wait a day. I saw a lot of cables and was wondering what the AD_EXT cable is for. Does that connect the Sound card to the bay drive thing? It is grey and ugly and was wondering if they made round green ones? I have some for my drives that came with my LanParty mobo. Also, do I need the digital CD audio cable if I have XP, I know if you have XP you don't need the normal Audio wire connecting your CDROM with your mobo. And how do you disable onboard sound?

The cable will be for connecting a CD Drive to the sound card.

In order to disable the on board sound you need to change a setting in the mobo bios.

I dont recommend that you mess with the bios unless you have the manual as changing the settings can mess things up!!
