Outlook Express

Ok, Im doing a mobo swap for someone, and Im wondering how to go about saving the emails/addresses that are stored on the drive. I know how to export the address book, but Im not sure how to export/save messages, or import them to the new installation. The OS that will be going back on it will be Windows XP pro. Any suggestions?

This is where XP stores emails from outlook express. You can save this folder and then do an import email in the new O.E.

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{A BUNCH OF NUMBERS}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

wow, I wasnt expecting a quick reply (probably because Im used to posting stuff like this at 3AM and not 3PM :P ). I'll give those a try.

Another thing, can I access these with the drive as a slave in my PC? The one its in dosent boot at all now, so this might be difficult to do otherwise.

Send a message via ICQ to crouse
Should be able too. Just make sure not to forget to switch the pins on the hard drive to slave

Yeah, I'll have to remember to do that, unless I just put it on the master where my burner is at. No way my music drive is gonna get unplugged. lol
