wetdog500 is on a distinguished road
new firmware for linksys router with zone alarm

i just upgraded my firmware for my linksys router and it has a new zone alarm feature. How does it work and is its lisence key diferent from the lisence key for the normal zone alarm pro?

hey,
If I haven't said welcome in the past, the Welcome..

When you click on zone alarm in the screen, it will ask you for the password. It will be the same as your seperate PRO version.

yes, use the same serial you use with the software.

If you enable that feature.... the router will check and see if zone alarm is installed... if it isn't, then it won't allow you to get on the net, and will give you a message that zone alarm needs to be installed.

but what is the point of using it on ur router if u have it on ur comp?

yes za has to be installed on every machine for this option to work.

log into the router. and there should be an option to input your za key and you should be good to go


the option most is to make sure every computer connected to the router has ZA installed to use the internet. its a way to make sure no one just plugs into the router without software protection

For higher security...

it verifies that you have it installed in every machine on the network...

i got my version ov za of kazaa and it came with about 6 lisence keys and none of the keys work in the router. It just locks me off the internet
