Outdoors HELP PLEASE!!!!

A while ago lines started appearing on my monitor. They come and go randomly. Also the screen stretches sometimes. WHAT IS HAPPENING?!!! I think it might be my video card. PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO FIX THIS!!!!!!!!

Sounds more like monitor problems. How old is your monitor? Did you check to make sure the cable was firmly attached to the VGA port?

My monitor is an HP Pavilion M90 19 inch. I think it is pluged in good because the problem just started less than an hour ago.

No there isn't any magnets or electrical equipment near the monitor. My monitor is 2 years old. I also overclocked my video card so I think I might of ruined it. I changed the clock speeds back to normal after it froze up. Could that be the problem? If so how can I fix it?

Do you have it running through a high-quality Surge Protector? Given the power problems in the US over the past few weeks, that's a very good idea.

What about a UPS? That will keep the power more consistent?

Also, can you try the monitor on another PC? That would verify if it's the Monitor or the Video Card that's the problem.

yes eliminate the possiblities, try the monitor on a different machine and visa versa
