UV light in case health hazardous?

Is UV light in case health hazardous?

Excessive UV exposure will lead to skin cancer!

No. Two reasons. The intensity is very, very low as compared with, say, sunlight. Also, the plastic window in all likelihood is not UV transparent, so what you're really seeing, the glow from the internal parts, are visible wavelengths, not UV.

oh yeah...u are right! UV is not in the visible spectrum ..hehe.
I am planning to put a UV light in my case (is it called a cold cathode?), should I change the IDE cables or paint other parts of the case to make it glow?

Get UV pens and go over the lines on your MOBO/Graphics card

looks top

Only do it if you have the guts though!

lol!

Hey, I recently got a 12" UV light, and 250ml of orange UV reactive paint and UV reactive FDD and IDE cables, and it looks damn cool lol

Never thought of getting UV ink pen though, I could do all kinds of stuff with that, Thanks for idea O-prime!!

Tide will also work if you don't have a UV pen. I don't recommend it inside of a computer, but it looks great on the walls of a dorm room! (On a related note, did you know that beer when ingested then regurgitated glows purple? I wouldn't put that inside of a computer either, but looked awesome! )

I have a UV light and a blue light and can barely see the glow from the UV reactive stuff in my case. (All the wires are sleeved with UV reactive sheaths, plus the IDE and floppy cables are UV reactive.) I might just get a red tube to replace the UV, or try it without the blue and check it out.

I have a blue tube with a purple glowing fan, the blue entirely covered the purple. I prefer to have purple light inside the case. What should I do?

Is there a purple tube instead of a UV?
