Kids Can I overclock an Asus P4P800-VM?

I just bought an ASUS P4P800-VM, plugged in a 800Mhz FSB, HT, P4 2.4Ghz and started it. The motherboard auto detected the CPU speed at 2.4 and I cannot find a way to override it in the Bios. None of the CPU config stuff can be changed - except to enable/disable HT. I was hoping to overclock this machine. Did I buy the wrong mobo?

Thanks
John

YES you can ..
I'm using the same mobo - deluxe version. go to bios ..then go to jumperfree setting. set the AI overclocking to either 10% 20% or 30%. I tried overclocking to 30% with my 2.4c processor, it works fine!

I checked and I don't see the AI stuff in my Bios - do I have to load something from the motherboard CD first? I think the -VM mobo is different from the normal one. The VM is a microATX board with built-in Intel video.

Ok, I have found out that the -VM version of the mobo is not designed for overclocking. There is no support for it in the BIOS (no jumperless settings and no AI stuff). I have returned the mobo and should have my new P4P800 Deluxe tomorrow.
