hi i just got my computer going but the red and the green light on on the motherboard are on so what does that mean? i allready installed windows xp and all the runs good i got the video card in right and ram is good i get to post one when it first comes on and one second later and the cpu fan is on right because the computer place put that on

Where are these lights located? I have the Abit NF-7S v1.0 and the only lights I have on mine are for the onboard NIC that show connectivity.

My best guess is that the red one is indicating you have power to the motherboard and the green one means all is running good.

they at the bottom near the battery about 1/2 inch

Sounds like motherboard status lights. They are telling you that everything is working fine.
