Anyone know what OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller is?

Well, I'm getting an error with the OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller on my computer, though I dont know what it is or does. Could this possible be the problem with my Cd-Rom Drive not being able to read disks also? Thanks

Heres some information:

Device Type:IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers

Location: PCI bus 0, device 13, function 0

Device Status:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)

That's Firewire. Ports for attaching stuff. Nothing to do with CD-ROM unless the CD-ROm is attached via Firewire.

Sounds like you have a Firewire bus with nothing on it. No Firewire ports attached?

Cheers
Mick

If you don't have any devices that utilize that connection, then your best bet is to disable it. If you're using windows go into the hardware manager and disable it.

It'll have nothing to do with the fact that your CD-Rom drive fails to read/recognized some cd's.
