Norton Anti-Virus 2003 Pro PROBLEM

I got a weird problem with Norton after i formated my pc and installed it. When windows starts up it takes 2min just for norton to load on system tray. It idles for 2min then loads up. In that idle time i cannot open any programs. But when norton is up after the program opens up.

Anyone have a clue why this is happening ?

I think it would be LAG.....had that happen to me a lot with the network connections Icon and couldn't get on the internet till it finally showed up and sometimes I had to keep restarting...How new is the comp?? what r specs.... Don't know any other Ideas......

This never happend before i formated. Brand new.

Nice comp :0) anyways ummmm....try running msconfig and unselect norton and see if the problem persists....if it does then maybe try reinstalling norton....don't know why that would be doing that with your comp though....I think my problem with the network connections eventually just went away

I acctualy tried that.. The only program i have on startup is Du Meter. Didnt try reinstalling yet.

I just tryed the shutdown pc when Norton was idling and CCAPP was not reponding. Maybe its causing a problem?
