setting up a proxy server

hey guys. i want to setup a proxy server so that someone can go to my website, type in a url, and visit that site through my computer. i already have my own http server, but im not sure if that matters or not. i downloaded the proxy software from analogx and have it set up, but i dont know how to implement that into my website. any ideas?

Just wondering why you would want to do this.

This is a HUGE security risk. Unless you come up with a way to encrypt login info I would not do it.

An open proxy is one of the worst possible things you can have setup.

My suggestion would be something like port forwarding via SSH or something similar so the proxy port isnt open to the internet.

the reason i want this is not really illegal but it might be frowned upon here. it causes no harm to anyone but could be looked at as "hacking" or something.

For them to utilize your proxy they would have to be on your local network...

I think what you need is to setup an internet mirror of the website(s) you want to "proxy". This is just a matter of hosting duplicate content on a different domain/webserver.
