CD Rom Drive Help

Well, my cd-rom drive isnt detecting my disks anymore, so i'm looking for a replacement, whats the best on the market? and what do I look for in a cd-rom drive to get the most for my moneys worth? Any suggestions and tips would be helpful, thanks. -Kevin

I would advise not getting a regular CD-ROM, and go for a LiteOn burner instead. You will only be paying like $15-20 more, but it will be faster than any regular ROM reader, and you can burn CD's too!

If that doesn't suit you, how about a DVD? Pioneer pretty much makes the best DVD drives out their IMO, and I'm probably going to get their tray-load one soon. If you do get one, stay away from the slot-drive version. It can scratch your cd's, and it isn't that great anyways.
