nForce2 + linux = problems

I have an abit nForce2 motherboard, and an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro, and i compiled the kernel with the nvidia patches, and i got my ethernet adapter working, and the sound barely works. i cant get the GART drivers working, and i cant find drivers for my video card. oh yeah, it has integrated audio, using the intel 810 chipset, but everything crashes when i play ogg files of DVDs.

luckily i am getting an SBLIVE tomorrow, so i wont have to deal with that, but does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can get my GART working, or where i can find Radeon 9600 drivers?

Kernel versions 2.5 and 2.6 have native support for the nforce2 chipset, so I've been told.

2.6 test release has a built in option for the NForce GART (and the Opteron on-chip GART too btw)
What kernel version, distro and version of XFree are you using? If you're using external modules built seperatley from the main kernel tree (or installed as binaries) then you must have the right kernel version, and be sure to turn off things like radeon support in the main kernel config.
