You need to know what the fastest RAM your MoBo will support first. Do you know which MoBo you have?

The fastest memory available is the stuff that comes out 2 weeks after you bought the fastest memory

So true!!!

I thought I saw "DDR500" advertized at either the CorsairXMS or Crucial site just yesterday.

That motherboard is horrible with memory. Own two myself. The highest memory it will legally handle is DDR PC2700. It doesn't support higher FSB speeds 166mhz. Also, this motherboard wont let you clokc your memory ANY faster than the FSB.

I have seen people overclock this mobo up to 211mhz FSB (which would utilize PC3200) but I couldn't on wither computer.

I have a wasted stick of Corsair XMS PC3200 CAS2 Platinum running at 166mhz. Luckily im buying a new mobo tomorrow.

DDR PC 4200 Hmmmm?

The best thing to do is probally get a top motherboard like the Asus A78X, then get some Corsair XMS PC 4200.

This will enable lots of headroom for overclocking since all current boards only officially support DDR PC 3200.
