Networking a Laptop
I'd like to network my laptop to share the internet connection from my desktop computer.
Right now I have 2 computers leasing 2 IPs from my ISP. They connection to a cable modem, through a hub (I know, not the best setup) and are also set up to share files with each other. Without leasing a new IP for an extra $10 a month and without buying a router (I'm leaving for University in 2 weeks) is there a way that I can connect my laptop to the internet?
I have WinXP Pro which looks like it has some kind of built-in connection-sharing features but I can't figure out how they work.
I'd appreciate any help.
