I just went to newegg and looked at their re-furbs...they only offer a 15 day warranty...You might want to go to abit's authorized re-furb distributor...Abit warranties these boards for a full year..and the savings are pretty good.
In fact, they have an AT7 Max (not the Max2!) that is brand new. I assume it was returned due to no legacy,(which is the customer's fault for not paying attention) but now it's considered an "open box." BUT, they are still offering a 3 year warranty on it..and it's only $65.00! Here's a link;

I bought a board from them once that I had to return. It greenlighted, but was flaky the rest of the way...They exchanged it for me no prob. (although I did have to wait about a week extra to get it back, which sucked.) But other than that, it was pretty painless.
