Can you use a Bluetooth headset on a computer?

I just got my new Dell Latitude D800 in today... quite a beast of a laptop... but I was wondering, since I have bluetooth here on the laptop, what all kinds of cool things can I get for bluetooth.

The idea of a bluetooth mouse sounded real cool because then I wouldn't have to have any additional adapters or anything... just pull the mouse out of the bag and start moving....

I've been seeing a lot of wireless headsets that operate on bluetooth, and generaly are associated with use with a cell phone, but I was wondering if I could use one with my computer either for gaming, or to talk to friends over the Internet. I use a headset a lot right now both for gaming, MoH, and CS, but I also use it with TeamSpeak to talk to friends here and there, and have considered using it for buisness conferencing or something, but I HATE the wire, and so does everyone else I've talked to. What I would like to know is if Windows XP or whatever it is would support those bluetooth headsets and give me the capabilities to use it with my computer wire free.

The M3000 headset by Plantronics sounds pretty cool. It has an 8 hour talk time, and its pretty compact.

The bluetooth GPS units sounded pretty cool.

If anyone else has some cool uses for bluetooth, I'd like to hear them, it sounds like an awesome technology.

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that operates on the 2.4Ghz range, and offers a medium for universal connectivity between devices on a standardized protocal.

For instance, you can be walking around with your PocketPC, and be able to sync your PDA with your desktop computer while the PDA is still in your pocket. You can use bluetooth to establish a network connection, like connecting your PDA to the Internet via your desktop using bluetooth... and its all wireless.

Its also extreamly widely used with cell phones. Plantronics has a nice little headset that just rests on your ear... no wires, not headband, no huge device... just this simple little thing that sits on your ear and you can talk to someone on your cell phone while the phone is still in your pocket.

Microsoft now has a keyboard and mouse that use bluetooth for wireless communication with your computer, and if you have bluetooth built into a laptop that means you'd be able to use the keyboard/mouse without any adapters... just pull the mouse out and the laptop out and everything is happening. You wouldn't have to plug in something into USB or anything crazy like that where you have something sticking out of your laptop.

And because it operates on the 2.4Ghz frequencies, you get some pretty good distance out of the devices too.
