IMHO, definitely XP if you're gaming!

Man, I really wonder about those guys at MS sometimes. Sounds just like the same crap is going on there as in so many offices around the country. Someone asks someone else to get something done this way, and that someone else says "I can't do it that way". And sometimes they are too stupid and really can't do it, but most of the time it's just dam laziness.

No wonder our economy balloons, then pops...we have lazy b@$trds everywhere. And the moment they're called upon...POP

Sorry...off topic. I say either. I have an XP & 2KPro system, and neither has given me any specific problems...though both do not like me using two [or more] of the old "gameport" versions of the 10-button sidewinder pad. Never could get that one to work reliably in either OS.

Search around the forums, there's at least 20 threads about it. GZ's is a good start.

As noted above stay far away from 2003 for gaming.

I've had better results with Xp than 2k, in terms of gaming if it means anything to you.

Tom's Hardware did a test of operating systems and games. XP was the fastest but it only beat 2k by a very small amount... usualy like 1-2 frames per second difference. 1-2 frames is essentialy nothing.

XP and 2k are both great

Thanks for the help everyone. I figured that i better just stay with win xp. I have disabled a ton of stuff. Now it even looks like win 2k
