XP cd-rom error

With xp i've noticed something wrong with the cd-rom or any drive actually whether it be a cd-rw or dvd-rom drive windows doesn't seem to detect the new disk and shows me the contents of the last disk it was reading.

Only way to read a new cd-rom seems to be rebooting the computer itself.
This is becoming agravating, I installed the latest aspi drivers when installing fireburner when this happened.
This is the link I got it at.

I deactivated autoplay when fireburner asked me to, I also deavtivated the windows native burning under xp. I've been trying to undo these and see if it will stop what's going on. So far nothing so I installed them again?
Any idea's why windows would be doing this?

Well thanks now I feel special

I could only seem to fix it by right clicking the drive and open the tray. This seems to be working ok.
However this is still a pain.
