One way to look is to open the case and get the serial numbers off the mobo itself.

So what do you see on there?

Try downloading either Belarc Advisor or AIDA32. They are both free and will tell you most everything you want to know about your system.

Atomic,

Been long time since use Belarc Advisor, it tells you the serial numbers of the motherboard? I thought it only gave models?

Belarc tells me this about my Abit KT7-A RAID:

Board: 8363-686A(KT7[A][-RAID],KT7E) v1.0 ~ v1.2

AIDA32 has this:

Motherboard ID 11/07/2001-8363-686B-6A6LMA19C-64
Motherboard Name Abit KT7(A)/KT7(A)-RAID/KT7E

Cool, Didn't remember it gave that much info.
Why can't a persun use the registry to find that info? or does it find it otherways?

I dunno. I'm not completely registry literate so I wouldn't know where to look. I'm sure someone here could tell you though.
