Good cpu cooler

I need a heatsink/fan for an athlon 2400 or 2600 cpu and I don't know much about them. That is if i don't get it retail with a fan already. What are some good fans/sink that are reasonably quiet?

Volcano's are pretty loud, if you want the high powered ones. I have heard the SLK-800? I think is the series and a Thermaltake SmartFanII is pretty quiet and works great, since you aren't overlcocking, you won't need to worry about overheating.

take a look @ the "AERO 7" by coolermaster.

Freaky desighn, but the benchmarks deserve some respect. Kinda big (80x80x70 or something like that) so you'll have to see if you 've got the room on the mobo.

also look at the Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu (all copper) and CNPS7000A-AlCu (aluminum and copper)
i've seen many reviews that say they are quiet
they are pretty big though, and the all copper one weighs alot (773g i think)

Personally for ease of use and quietness, I would suggest a Vantec Aeroflow...

Smoovy might still have his for sale...

Installed an Aeroflow yesterday, sofar I like it alot, quiet and effective.

Aero1

Which freed up my stock AMD cooler for the Northbridge.

Aero2

But anything was better than this which I was using.

WTF?

If you havent guessed, it's an FOP32 with a copper coldplate ASA'ed to the bottom and two fans with a duct in the center. I dont know what I was thinking when I made it but it worked so well it's been on like 5 CPU's and worked great.

I once sold it and traded back for it!
