computer wont turn on

Yea, my computer will not turn on. But the power supply is supplying power because when I hook it up the mouse light comes on. I dont know what it could be, its like my switch is broken. I'm about to try a new case, but if thats not the problem does anyone else have any ideas? The jumpers for the switch and things are in the right place also. and again there is power going to the mobo, but my computer just wont start. thanks.

Try jumping the switch before transfering everything to a new case. Just take a small piece of wire and put it across the two connections on the power switch on the front of the case.

Have you tried resetting your BIOS? That happends a lot to me, and a quick BIOS resetting will do the trick.

sorry i was signed in on a friends name "cracked", anyways. Here's what I've done so far, ive tried another power supply. got nothing. tried using the switch from another computer, got nothing. Stripped my computer down to the bare bones, just the mobo a stick of ram, and the processor. Got nothing. I JUST got this motherboard today after epox or newegg screwed me over on the last one. there was something wrong with the nforce2 chipset. Anyways I dont really understand what you are saying ex-cel. Please explain exactly what you mean.

Also, the motherboard should be able to turn on shouldnt it? I mean, I cant think of a single problem that would make this do it. Unless I just got a screwed motherboard, but then it would still come on right? Just would be stupid. Oh well I'm going to work...anymore help would be appreciated.

and yea I reset the bios.
