Screen capture utility

Search isn't working....

What is your favorite screen capture utility?

After using the demo, I am considering purchasing Snag-it, and wonder if there are better.

Do not tell me about print screen / Alt+ Print screen because I need more options.
i.e. "scrolling capture", video-still capture, etc...

I'm not sure what else you want more than taking a screenshot, but I found a program that I like the best called Ace Screen Capture 2.15. It has a bunch of options for different screenshots and what to include etc.

It's free, and it does what you want

BTW, what does ALT+Print Screen? Never tried it before.

'Prt Scr' captures the whole desktop to Clipboard; 'Alt-Prt Scr' captures the "active" window to Clipboard. You can then Ctr-V and paste the image into any graphics program (or even Word, Excel, POwerpoint, etc.). Once in a graphics program, you can manipulate/edit, and save in any format.

Snagit seems like the top choice and seems to be the only one that does what I want it to do.
Going to try that camstudio pretty soon.

thanks for suggestions
