sdram mobo-need suggestions

am looking for suggestions on a new amd mobo that will run with sdram. rubys puter has 320 mb and i would like to use it on the next board. pretty much everything else, except for the p2-400mz cpu, will be used again.

have a 6 gig and a 30 gig hds.
gforce2gts video card
and a list of other usual stuff.

i have a xp 1500 that i am thinking of using in hers

and maybe sneak a xp 2600 in mine.

or would it be worth the extra expense of getting some ddram?
with ram prices edging up again, and her not in any great need for speed,i m thinking that using the sdram will be just fine.

also thinking about upgrading from 98se to xp pro.

TIA,EH??

How about an ECS K7S5A-Pro? It's only $47 with free shipping at NewEgg! it has two SDRAM slots and two DDR slots.

Brad,

the ECS K7S5A mobo ought to do ya for Ruby's machine. Takes both DDR and SDRAM and not a lot of built-on hoo-hah. Lots of folks around here have them, so there's a fair amount of experience to be had with it here.

Here's a link from a vendor I deal with pretty regularly. NewEgg may have it cheaper. Unicom Computers

I second Atomic Rooster's suggestion only there is no major reason to go with a pro version if you can find a cheaper standard deal...
OR....you cvould shoot over to Omardeth's thread and snag up his deal...ecs k7s5a pro new unopened 33$

K7S5A is the usual suspect for that kind of recycling task, and would be OK.

HOWEVER ... if the RAM from the old machine is PC100 not PC133, you _MUST_ fit a Duron, not an Athlon. The reason is that you can't run a 133 MHz FSB CPU with 100 MHz RAM.
