Change user name in W98se??

I know I should know this but...

How do I change the user name in W98se?

Lets assume there is no logon prompt.

I dont want to create a new user and then have to choose between the two just to boot up....or would I create a new user and then just delete the old one?

Thanks, JP

I would delete the .pwl file in C:\WINDOWS of the name you want deleted. This should force a login when it reboots and you can put whatever username you want in. Keep the password blank if you don't want to be prompted to login again.

Ok, I totally forgot about that...but I did USED to know that, lol. Which is why (besides just hitting the esc button) that W98 passwords offered no security.

Thanks, JP
