Make banner ads click themselves?

I want to put banners on my site but I know nobody will click them so can I just pull the url out of the banner's code and make my page open the banner's page after 2 seconds or something? It's one of those pay per click things.

Hey buddy, it takes more than hopes and dreams to pay the bills. Besides, just get a popup blocker, then we're all happy.

then why have the ads at all? I mean if you are going to the trouble of setting up the ads to open w/out clicking on them but assume everybody will have a pop up blocker, then why even have ads...?
I totally understand the cost of maintaining a web site, it suck to do this for free and sometimes you have to use ads but try to remember you want people to visit your site, not trick them into going to a different site...

no it won't trick them, just spawn a popup, if popupblocker kills it, it still registers as a click.

My suggestion would be just to let the visitor decide whether he goes to the advertised website. If you can't get them to do that, then you may be able to get them to visit your site again.

Thanks. I'm not looking to do banner farms or anything, just load a popup by taking apart the banner's src=" " line. I'm not going to trick the user, nothing will be misleading, i just want to register a click everytime someone visits.

Send a message via ICQ to PyroSama
Make a page with the banner on it 100 times and view it.
