User Profiles and laptops

I am baffled! We just set up our first domain server. Everyone got a new user ID and profile that connects them to the domain. Now I have a boss on the road furious that he can't seem to get his laptop connected to a customer's network and still have his desktop icons just like always.

HELP!!!!

sounds like he is logging on with the other username and password. there is a profile set up for him on the domain, and a profile for on the computer only. is he trying to authenticate to the customer's domain?? in the worst case, he can copy all the c:\documents and settings\username\ files from the profile he wants to the profile he is using and all should be well then.

It's hard to tell when he's frothing at the mouth but he apparently tried to connect to their ad hoc network and wasn't able to see any resources like printers, etc.

Even though his account was set up as "superuser" he claims he couldn't load new mouse drivers or the Blaster XP patch.
