I was trying to load XP Pro onto a Pentium II. At first, I got the NTlLDR is missing error message. I played with the bios and got XP to load. After that, the screen went blank. I reset the bios to the default settings. Still nothing. I do get the XP logo to come up showing that it is trying to load, but then the screen goes blank......no color at all. Can anyone help me......

There are similar posts needing help on NTLDR file including myself already... So far nobody has helped on this problem...

You could try this though, it might work for you...
go to Recovery Console and type fixboot or copy the NTLDR file and NTDETECT.com (normally hidden in C: drive) from your friends computer on a disk or copy it from the WinXP CD. But I don't know if that'll work since I tried and I still get the NTLDR file missing error...

I got rid of the NTLDR problem, I think. I got XP to load. It took quite a while. Now, when I try to boot up, I get the XP logo showing it is trying to boot, but then the screen goes blank. I can't even do a contol/alt/delete to reboot. I need to shut the PC off and then start over.

I'm guessing it's some sort of a Bios setting issue since i'm using an older Pentium II.

Any thoughts anyone.....
