Sound feedback when spinning of disk

ok when i play a dvd my comp makes sounds throgh the speakers when the disk speeds up. i wanna know how to fix it.. it is a
lite on dvd player 16x
asus a7n8x mobo

make sure in the volume controls that the cd volume is muted. this only applies if your system doesn't use the old style cd audio connector to the soundcard (i think win 98 onwards)

well this cured random clicks and pops from my soundcard as i don't bother connecting that little cable now. let me know if it worked for you.
