will 333 XP work on 266 mobo

Ok I just wanted to ask a question about Mobo and Processor interaction. If I take an Athlon XP 2500 barton processor with 333Mhz bus will it work with a mobo designed for a 266 bus. I was wondering if this would just work at the slower speed or not function at all. The board is a K7S5A Pro.

it will run the processor at 266mhz FSB and have no clue what to name it....but yes

Would it be better to go with the 2600 or the 2400 with the 2600 with the 266mhz bus or the 2500 with the 333 bus because it seems to be the cheepest.

Anybody know a good site to buy amd processors of these speeds.

it would be better to go with a 2400+ or 2600+ ... make sure your motherboard supports a 2600+ 266mhz version if you want it though.
