Kids Nvidia new Drivers + Windows Update

ok.... So I go on Nvidia's website and get me the latest drivers

Version: 45.23
Release Date: August 13, 2003

I uninstal my current drivers Version: 44.03 reboot.

Then I proceed to install the newest drivers, everything goes fine.

I check the display properties, and the new drivers are installed.

fine, no problems.

I got and do a Windows update, and WTH!! there's an update for nvidia drivers dated May.

so I install those drivers, reboot.

I go and Check my display properties, and come to find out that it went back to the old drivers... 44.03.

I did this 2 times, with the same results....

What should I do?

Stay with the windows nvidia drivers (44.03)

or install the newest drivers (45.23) and forget about windows update.

why would there be an update when I just installed the newest drivers???

Any help appreciated... thanks.

Go with the new...don't ever install Windows Update stuff for video drivers.

There's probably an update because Microsoft is dumb and has WU set to display the driver update when the version it has does not match the one you have installed...and since the updated one is newer than what they have.....
