Cant get MB or PWR Fans to work on Asus P4P800

Hi,

I have two fans connected to the MB and PWR fan connectors on my P4P800 motherboard and neither works. If i connect the fans to the Processor fan connector it works fine so the fan itself is ok. Is there any setting or additional connector required to make these two fan connector operational ?

Thanks
Woody

You could hook the fans up directly to the power supply, did it come with the 3 to 4 pin adapters(if thats the right name for them)?

This doesnt answer your direct question but more addresses the whole...
You are actually better off connecting the case fans to the power supply directly than through the Mobo... it is always better to pull as little power through your motherboared as possible.
If your fans did not come with Molex adapters and you dont mind simple modification...

then this is a good guide to rewiring the fans.
