Deleted Recycle Bin?

Have a friend who was in safemode and deleted his recycle bin is there anyway to get it back?

No matter, you can get it back. Head to:
http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstati.../NTTweakUI.asp

and download the TweakUI applet for him. Then load it (it's in Control Panel), go to Desktop, and check Recycle Bin.

He just tried that and it does not list a recycle bin to be checked

LOL, that remindes me of something I did on an old Mac...

I installed a program to permanetly delete stuff, so I tried it on my Trash bin and haven't seen it since.

Here is a totally stupid and ridiculous idea, have someone copy and paste their trash can, attach it to an email and send it to you. I'll try anything once!

I suppose if nothing else works, re-install Windows over the current Windows. You'll keep all your current settings, programs etc but it should fix the problem.

If you're using a Windows with the Restore feature just restore to a time prior to the deletion of the trash can.
