Anyone Pickup Madden 2004 yet?

Just curious what the first impressions are. Has much changed? Are the graphics improved? Or is it the same game new year?

Can't speak for MAdden, 2004, but I did pick up NCAA 2004. It's about the same, a couple new features, but pretty much the same game. I expect MAdden would be about the same scenario.

I have the demo, it pretty good, I am not to big on madden and 2004 seems like 2003 which seems like 2002 which seems like 2001 ~~~~ You get the picture!

I picked it up and it aint that bad but the controller configurations are a little goofy like one button on offence is different on defence which wouldn't be bad but like the boost is two different buttons. Game play is alright the kicking is dummied up you don't have the moving pointer anymore it just stands there and you do the power.

I've been buying Madden, going back to Madden 97. 2004 has some nice eye candy added, but they removed the TV camera mode. The AI on the DBs is much better, but if you play Coach Mode, expect your QB to get sacked several times per game. I also think they have some flaws in the sound. All in all, I think 2003 was much better, and have been thinking about going back to it if EA doesn't release a patch soon and address some of these issues. Personally, I believe that EA is more interested in marketing their game console versions, than their PC versions.

Madden 2004 is the best football game out there. I've played a franchise and half on pro. No losses. I have Priest Holmes, Laver...w/e Coles, Javon Walker, Josh Reed, Chad Pennington, Javon Kearse, and more. Its better then all the rest.

Does anybody know if you can save a game you are playing and how. For example, its the 3rd quarter and i am winning in franchise mode but i have to go walk the dog for 3 hours. Could i save the game, turn it off then come back and load up exactly where i was at in the 3rd quarter as if nothing happened?

Yea when you want to quit the game hit start then you see quit and save...then you can save it but all your earned Madden points in the game will be deleted.
