Monitor Resolution???

I bought a 15" Flatron Flat Panel Monitor and all the drivers are installed properly and everything's fine except my resolution. I only get 800x600 and 1024x768 and on my old bad monitor I got at least 6 options. Why not with the new tech stuff? Expensive equipment that has 2 options? That's a joke. Is this how it has to be or can I do something about it at home.

I like higher res. when I work on images or my websites. I can see more. This is getting kind of annoying. Any ideas why I don't have 6 options?

Computer info:
CPU: 2.8 GHz
RAM: 1.0 GB
OS: WinXP Home
Vid. Card: NVidia Geforce4 Titanium 4800se

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Since its a flat panel thats probably all your going to get, sounds about right for a 15"

Theyve got native resolutions they dont like to deviate much from, there not as flexible as CRT's.

Biggest reason ive been holding out before getting one. With my preferred resolutions i need at least a 17" and theyre not quite cheap enough yet.

Yep. Flat screen have native resolutions that you're pretty much stuck at. You can use different resolutions but it'll look really bad.

Damn that sux. Man, oh well. I still got my old 17" in the other room. But still... I guess it's time to start adjustin' LoL..

Thanks for info,
FireWolf

@Crossedup:
I hope you have better luck with your purchase of a 17" flat panel.
