problem installing mx440 64mb ddr

hi all, i have a question
i have a pc chips m758+ series motherboard with onboard memory, you can't disable it in bios, you can only assign low amounts. i just got geforce4 mx 440 se 64mb ddr PCI. and when i put it in or any other pci graphics card the monitor won't start.
how can i get the geforce 4 to work

The bios should have a way to disable the onboard AGP vidio

with onboard memory or onboard video? on some older mobo's there may not be an option to disable onboard video

infact i havent even heard of onboard memory......

i mean video memory, sorry, but the only thing i can do is reduce the video memory to 2mb other than that i can't think of another way to disable ,if you guys know please help me

Disable it in the device manager in windows. That's what I had to do. Also about the blank monitor if your switching from onboard video MAKE SURE the display cable to the monitor is pluged directly into the new video card and not in the mobo(you'll probably have to move it).
