Media If money is not an issue !

What would be the ultimate system for multimedia processing ..

Best motherboard, best processor (please assume Intel) best chipset, and memory type.. ohh and while at it best graphics card (preferably with built in Video Capture)

Thanks a lot for your advice in advance..

multimedia processing... you mean rendering videos and sound files? I'd say Abit IC7-G running the 875P chipset, P4 3.2ghz(800fsb), 1gb corsair xms4000, Radeon 9800 all in wonder.

The new 800fsb motherboards use ddr. You will find one or 2 mobos out there that use rdram, but intel is switchin to ddr. Wont have any trouble runnin xms on intel mobos.

Geil Golden Dragons (pc3200, 3500, 3700, or 4000) or OCZ Gold. And definitely the Radeon 9800 pro All-in-wonder

If money is not an issue, I'd be looking into multiprocessing with Opterons or Xeons. Just make sure your programs support SMP.
