shoulda got a fx5200 if u were on a low budget. if it had to be a g4mx, your best buy would have been a ddr version of the 440. these cards should work fine with the games u play.

I am running a Celeron 1 gig, with 128+256 of ddr ram. I am also using a "GEFORCE 2" I run most any games fine on my computer. I just recently bought Unreal Tournament 2003. And already played Vice City forever till i got bored. Im sure your card is better than mine so its gotta be good.

actually the gf4 mx is just a rebadged gf2. the gf4mx uses the nv17 chipset whereas the gf2 uses the nv15 (the gf3 uses the nv20).

you'll be fine for a while, but you won't be able to turn on much detail in half-life 2 i would be willing to bet.

about what Urban_Squrill said

you said "drivers", can i assume that the newest driver for the graphics card is the best or should i look deeper than the age of the driver?????............their are like 10 different drivers for it at evga.com ....... thanks!

well...the nvidia drivers are interesting. The newest drivers are pretty much the fastest, although some people swear by the last det. 30's. i use the newest drivers tho (44.03).
