can two firewalls zone alarm and norton be ran at same . would there be a benifit to do this, thanks.

If you mean Norton's firewall app and Zone Alarm on the same machine... it may be possible, but no benefit. Probably cause problems.

If you want more protection with a broadband connection than a single software firewall provides, you could adding a second computer with two NICs. Then you could run something like IPCOP or Smoothwall. That would add another layer of protection.

IPCop and Smoothwall are both great, but for the casual user I would reccomend a router such as linksys.
