Installing Linux on CruisePad

I want to buy one of those Zenith CruisePads they have on computersurplusoutlet.com. Basically, it's a closed box with a 386, 12 megs RAM, and I'm assuming flash memory for storage.

See here.

If I want to install Linux on this unit (a super-small distro obviously) what distro can I use? And more importantly where do I start? I have no idea how to get Linux onto the device once I get it....

Thanks for your help.

IIRC:
Last I talked to Computer Surplus Outlet, they had only diskless machines and there was no way to add software to it without the RF lan. They also told me they only were able to repeat what was on a screen somewhere else (on a desktop for example), and also IIRC, 640x480 resolution.

I know Slackware just dropped 386 support on the next release, so Slack 9.0 is the limit (does any other distro support 386? I doubt it).

It seems the device is as useful as would be the ultrasonic based remote control for a 1960s television.

Yes, I know it has no disk and I know that the RF Lan is one way of doing it... my question is, how??

Without a disk in the cruisepad, exactly where do you expect it to store an OS? I do not know if the Cruisepad allows PCMCIA, if yes, maybe get a PCMCIA flash disk... only about $80 for 32 megs.

Seriously, a buddy of mine bought one and he was a company computer support person for a major network hardware player, he could not find a way to use his.
