Can a fan controller control 4pin or 3pin fans? Can it control both? Thanks

Usually they will control 3 pin fans. Every model will differ, just read the details.

They're all the same thing...fans have either 2 or 3 wires. One is the 12v line, one is ground, and one is used for RPM monitoring (yellow or blue). Even if the fan has a 4pin molex connector on it...look how it gets to the molex connector - 2 wires
