Sound Blaster Live problems

I installed my card and used windows XP and the card seems to work fine, the only problem is the sound is so low, I plugged my speakers into the green input, which is the speaker input. But no matter what I do, like if my volume is on 100% maximum full blasting, I barely hear anything. So then installed to win98 and it's the same problem, i can barely hear anything. is this a driver problem? Because it plays all sounds?

Chances are it’s a hardware problem, most likely a short in the speaker line.
Have you tried a different speaker or plug headphones in it’s place, to test it?

Do you have it set to "Digital"?

Sometimes setting it to digital changes the volume (quality 4 quantity)

Try checking that and if it IS set to Digital, uncheck/remove it.

You never know.
