New Build won't post

This is only my second build, but I think I did everything right.
Specs:

Asus A7N8X DLX
512 MB Corsair PC 2700 XMS DDR
AMD XP 2500
WD Special Edition 120 GB HDD
Radeon 9000 Pro
Thermaltake V1000 Case w/ Thermaltake 420 watt PSU


Ok, I got it all hooked up powered it on all the fans started spinning got green light on MB but I got no beeps no post nothing. I thought maybe MB was grounding so I unscrewed it reseated it and tried again same result. I checked all the case to MB connections all looks good.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

One problem I have is I have never recieved a bad part I am thinkiong something may be faulty but I don't know which part it could be.

Have you tried booting the system with just the RAM and the processor connected to the mobo? If that doesn't boot, remove the RAM. If that doesn't boot, reset the CMOS. If that doesn't boot, try another processor or mobo.

If you get it to boot, keep adding parts until you have a lockup and that will tell you loads about your problem and we can help you fix it.

ok how will I know if it boots if I dont have a monitor or anythin plugged in?

Lucky it wasn't the other way around ( set to 115 plugged into 230)
