Talk My PCI GeForce2MX200 needs replacing

But I'm very tight for cash.

Anyone know of linux compatible cards that are going to smoke that old dawg I'm running, and for say <$80 on the doorstep?

Hi dunbar.
You can always check the "MX Version" of the FX series.

http://newegg.com/app/viewproduct.as...145-042&DEPA=1

This one (a 5200 FX) will perform a lot better than what you currently have and as you can see it is pretty cheap.! Also, as you know by now, Nvidia has great support for linux with their drivers so... maybe you can try that.

If you need some benchmarks of this gpu, you can browse thru :

http://www.tomshardware.com

or
