Advice requested :Packaging a graphics card for flights

Hi,

This is my first post here, though I have been lurking around for quite some time.

I've just bought a

1) Leadtek Winfast A280 (GeFore Ti4200) graphics card and a

2) Revolution 7.1 PCI soundcard in UK.

I am planning to take the cards with me to India, and wanted to know if there are any specific precautions I'd need to take with the cards for my flight. I will be taking them in their original packaging, and both of them are in their own anti-static bags.

TIA,

So long as they don't get trodden on or snapped, they'll be fine. Warn the airline beforehand though, as they can be fairly rough with baggage, and you may even be better taking it on the plane with you. (in the seating bit)

Hi nukes,
Thanks for the tip. I am taking it as part of my cabin baggage.

Cheers

As long as it's in your carry-on luggage you should be OK.
I don't think having it run through the x-ray at security would be a problem but you might want to ask.

X-rays are not a problem for computer equipment. You might want to present them to the security check personnel openly though.
