Looking for motherboard

Hello,


Im trying to find a good motherboard for a AMD Athlon XP 3000 Barton (with the 400 FSB).

I looked around, but I havent seen any without the onboard sound/lan/etc. Id live with the onboard sound (and simply disable it) but I want as few onboard items as possible, and I want it to support the 400Mhz FSB.

Im looking for Asus, Abit, MSI, or Gigabyte brand.

Are there any such motherboards that exist or am I gonna have to resort to having a whole bunch of onboard stuff? I know you can disable it, its just I have some sort of thing agiast onboard items.

I HAVE THE SAME OPINION ABOUT ONBOARD...JUST SEEMS CHEAP SOMEHOW.
HOWEVER, IMO, THE ONBOARD SOUND ON THE ASUS A7N8X (REV. 2) BOARD IS BETTER THAN AN AUDIGY 2! iTS WELL WORTH THE IT!

Well i have had my Gigabyte GA-7N400PRO2 for about 3 months now and it is kickass. this comes with onboard sound and lan, but i have the sound disabled, and just dont use the lan if u dont need it.

Gigabyte GA-7N400-L That one is pretty much the same board without the firewire and a few other features.

If you read some of the reviews put by people over at newegg, some of them are idiots, like the one guy tried to put a vantec aeroflow, i myself tried to do this, but it touch the capicators, and that guy probably broke the capicators. I would check out the pics to make sure the fan you want will fit on there if it is oversized, it probably wont fit.

This board isnt for overclocking, but the dual ddr is a nice feature, 2x dual ddr that is

all in all, excellent board.
